| ○ | AWLL’s mailing list is open to anyone interested in ocassionally receving information emails from AWLL, including its periodic newsletters and workshop calls.
Requests to be added to (or removed from) the mailing list may be directed to AWLL president. |
| ○ | Membership to AWLL’s core community is based primarily on attending AWLL workshops, such that participants to any of the three most recent workshops may regarded themselves as AWLL’s core community members.
Only AWLL core community members are eligible to have a brief member profile included below. Please note, however, as this profile-sharing is entirely on a voluntary basis, such that eligible community members are requested to provide the profile information and grant permission to upload by contacting the AWLL president.
Community members are also requested to assist in keeping your profile up-to-date, by informing of any changes, such as affiliation and email addresses. |
| ○ | Starting from AWLL14, workshop registration fees will include a small percentage, as a minimal contribution to funding future AWLL activities, such as providing support to participate at AWLL workshops. |
| ○ | Core community members may also benefit from a special price subscription to the related Written Language & Literacy (WLL) journal, which the publishers, John Benjamins, graciously offer to AWLL members. In order to benefit from this offer, members need to initiate their subscription using a special AWLL version of the journal subscription form (available from AWLL president).
Although WLL subscription is no longer a prerequisite for AWLL membership, members who continue to renew their special-offer WLL subscription will continue to be regarded as AWLL community members, even if not participating at any of the recent AWLL workshops. |
| ○ | Members of WLL’s editorial board are also entitled to be members of AWLL core community and, upon confirmation, have a member profile included below. |
| ○ | Core member profiles include four sections: Under the member’s name [surname, given name order]; (1) ‘participation’ row indicates the individual’s membership basis (i.e., primarily AWLL workshops attended, as well as noting AWLL and WLL roles); (2) the optional ‘Affiliation’ row notes the member’s institutional affiliations (i.e., departmental and university names), if applicable; (3) the ‘Email | Link(s)’ row includes, in addition to an email address (mailer link), up to two links to the member’s individual websites (including self-maintained sites, institutional pages, or an academic social networking sites, such as ResearchGate or Academia pages); (4) the ‘Interests’ row includes a maximum of five keywords, which reflect the member’s research interests. |
